GLITCH was founded in May 2010 by two undergraduates who believed that video games matter and sought to build a community of like-minded people. Since 2013, GLITCH has expanded to become a full-fledged nonprofit alongside its student group counterpart with upcoming projects fiscally sponsored by Games for Change; an international non-profit organization that supports games as a critical tool for social impact.
 
Community is the foundation of our organization and it’s for them that we continue to improve our programming and create opportunities.

Position Information

Term: July 2015 – April 2016
Work Hours: 10-15 hour commitment per month

YOU ARE:

  1. A killer communicator who can easily share detailed event logistics with others through any medium, be it email, face-to-face conversations, or Snapchat
  2. A true collaborator who knows how to rally the troops on gameday as well as session coordinators on event details prior
  3. Tech-savvy with the ability to comfortably discuss the unique needs of session coordinators with committee members and venue staff

 
YOU WILL:

  1. Attend two Planning Committee meetings each month
  2. Provide a kick*** experience for all of the attendees by curating all of the sessions for the conference.
  3. Assist in making improvements to the current methodologies such as the application process, session planning, and post-event reviews.
  4. Develop strong relationships with all session coordinators, maintain an open line of communication, and be the main point of contact when issues arise
  5. Organize session and session coordinator information via Google Forms, Documents, and Spreadsheets
