Summer is coming to an end but luckily public hours at GlitchHQ will be launching on Tuesday, September 8th! Stop by any weekday between 5-9pm to work, connect, or play.
Below are some of the highlighted resources available for free public use, all are currently available on a first come – first serve basis (subject to change):
1. Collaborative Workspace
Want to work on a game at a place where others are doing the same? Use our office as a place to stop by after work and be more productive with your ongoing side-project. Plus, there will be others to help troubleshoot in case you run into any pesky problems. Our office has 12 seats available during public hours.
2. Open Play
Unwind after a long day with some games with your friends. GlitchHQ has a collection of 200+ video, board, and card games for you to dive into.
3. Computer Stations
Two stations will be loaded with popular titles, massive Steam libraries, and also game development software.
4. Development Kits
We currently have two development kits for the Oculus (DK1 & DK2) that are available to check out. If you’ve been interested in trying out virtual reality or even making games for it, here’s your chance.
5. Opportunity Board
Think of this as the nerdiest bulletin board you’ll find in Minnesota. Check out the latest game-related events, job openings, and other various opportunities. Have something to share? Bring a print and pin it on the board!
GlitchHQ is across the street from the Carlson School of Management on the University of Minnesota’s West Bank campus. Our address is 1829 Riverside Avenue Suite 200, Minneapolis MN 55454. The office is situated right next to great neighbors such as Hard Times, Town Hall Brewery, and The Republic – Seven Corners. GlitchHQ is right off of the Green Line and only two blocks away from the West Bank station stop.
