GLITCH was founded in May 2010 by two undergraduates who believed that video games matter and sought to build a community of like-minded people. Since 2013, GLITCH has expanded to become a full-fledged nonprofit alongside its student group counterpart with upcoming projects fiscally sponsored by Games for Change; an international non-profit organization that supports games as a critical tool for social impact.
 
Community is the foundation of our organization and it’s for them that we continue to improve our programming and create opportunities.

Position Information

Term: July 2015 – April 2016
Work Hours: 10-15 hour commitment per month

YOU ARE:

  1. A deft communicator who can easily convey our message in a detailed campaign through any outlet – be it at an event, email, tweet, or Snapchat
  2. A true collaborator who knows how to rally the troops on gameday as well as prepare team members on responsibilities and promotion schedules prior
  3. A video games guru and have been a gamer since the dark days of dial-up.
  4. You have the ability to see the big picture and utilize your suite of skills to level up your team’s creative ideas.

 
YOU WILL:

  1. Attend two Planning Committee meetings each month
  2. Design and execute marketing campaigns, marketing assets and co-promotions.
  3. Select and purchase types of swag for GLITCH that our community will love and show off to the world
  4. Work closely with other members of the team to write general copy and press releases
