GLITCH was founded in May 2010 by two undergraduates who believed that video games matter and sought to build a community of like-minded people. Since 2013, GLITCH has expanded to become a full-fledged nonprofit alongside its student group counterpart with upcoming projects fiscally sponsored by Games for Change; an international non-profit organization that supports games as a critical tool for social impact.
 
Community is the foundation of our organization and it’s for them that we continue to improve our programming and create opportunities.

Position Information

Term: July 2015 – September 2015
Work Hours: 5 – 8 hour commitment per week

YOU ARE:

  1. Attend one Planning Committee meeting each week
  2. A pro with Photoshop and similar 2D programs as well as Illustrator and InDesign. You’ve also mastered creative conceptualization of digital experiences and have exceptional aesthetic judgement.
  3. An impeccable communicator who isn’t afraid to speak up when you see room for improvement effectively with a team. You’re comfortable working alongside a team and are open to feedback, both giving and receiving
  4. Super stylish and are able to be consistent with new assets that mesh with our defined aesthetic
  5. Organized — you might be an artist but you’re able to keep everything prioritized and on time

 
YOU WILL:

  1. Imagine and design Welcome Geek assets for use across all GLITCH outlets (website, newsletter, and social media pages
  2. Add your own creative touch to a variety of public-facing imagery including signage and promotional images
  3. Work alongside the team to create polished print and electronic graphical elements that enhance interaction for the community
