Our weekly lounge offers the latest consoles, dev tools, an expansive library of video games, local networking for your PC and even dedicated desktop stations.

GameCraft

GameCraft is a video game development event hosted during the annual Global Game Jam. Teams are challenged to design and create video games within 48 hours.

Welcome Geek

Welcome Geek is our video game themed carnival held in September every year in celebration of the University of Minnesota’s “Welcome Week” festivities. Our community is encouraged to play video games, meet special interest groups and participate in exciting activities throughout the evening.

GlitchCon

GlitchCon is our annual weekend conference jam-packed with with panels, roundtables, workshops, small tournaments, networking opportunities and even an arcade focused on locally made games. Think of this event as the University of Minnesota’s very own mini-PAX!

Glitch.Ed

Glitch.Ed is an educational series that is a bridge between the local community and the greater industry. This series includes interactive workshops, lectures, and panel discussions that highlight special topics within games to help broaden community perspectives.

PLAY

Glitch Plays is a monthly series that promotes casual networking, eating, and most importantly coming together as a community to play video games at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Town Hall

Each month we host a Town Hall where our entire community is invited to participate in discussions on Glitch’s hot-button issues, share updates on projects, and individuals are encouraged to give short presentations on a topic of choice.

CONNECT

CONNECT is a series where we invite awesome folks from the industry to socialize and share their stories with our community over a casual luncheon on campus. Who will you connect with?

Viewing Parties

Glitch regularly host viewing parties to watch and discuss live events or films such as the League of Legends Championship Series, The International, E3 coverage, Indie Game the Movie and even Spike TV’s Video Game Awards.
